Today, at the ceremonial VILNIUS TECH Senate meeting, doctoral diplomas, certificates for the pedagogical titles of associate professor and professor, and patents were traditionally awarded. Prof. Dr. Donatas Čygas, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering, was granted the title of Professor Emeritus.
Congratulating the researchers and the new doctors of science, Rector Romualdas Kliukas emphasized their importance in shaping the world and the future of technology:
“Nowadays, we are expected to have not only technical knowledge but also creative and strategic thinking. Today, the greatest and most significant value lies in the ability to adapt to global challenges and to implement one’s ideas for new security and defense technologies. Therefore, I invite you to accept the honors and badges awarded today as an encouragement and inspiration—never stop being curious, creating innovations, and trying to stay ahead of the times,” said the Rector.
During the ceremonial Senate meeting, the certificate for the pedagogical title of Professor was awarded to Dr. Živilė Sederevičiūtė-Pačiauskienė.
