Graduates of the Faculty of Creative Industries (FCI) of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) are returning to the University to share their knowledge and skills, achieved working in their own company. During February and April the project “Meet Videography“ is being carried out by the students of the FCI and the graduates, founders of small company “Audiovisual Solutions“.
The partnership between FCI of VGTU and company “Audiovisual Solutions“ resulted in a cycle of lectures for teaching students to use modern video and audio equipment. ‘‘Students will acquire practical skills to plan the process of filming, to choose appropriate equipment for the implementation of their ideas, to qualitatively light up and film the script, to project the material. These skills are necessary while studying and in the labour market, too“– affirmed Justas Nugaras, the project leader and lector of FCI.
Graduates of the FCI, who are eager to work in a creative and professional way, seeking to make their company an outstanding leader, will share with students their skills and expertise in working with audio visual equipment: ‘‘We are sure that knowledge gives birth to creativity: creating an effective communication means, good knowledge of working instruments and their opportunities is necessary. There is a good technical base at our Alma Mater, and our task is to teach the students, our future colleagues, to fully use its potential“, – said Rasa Syminaite, Head of Marketing and Trend, graduate of the Faculty of Creative Industries of the second year.
Airidas Janušauskas, Director of the company “Audiovisual Solutions“echoed her: ‘‘one of the aims of our newly founded company was to start educational activities – training, dissemination of information on audio-visual communications and improving its quality standards. As soon as we learnt that VGTU acquired modern video and audio equipment, we suggested our assistance for them“.
Besides, the graduates of the FCI, the founders of their company, claim that the demand of audio-visual communication means is growing and will constantly grow in future. That is why the founders of the company are looking for new talents to create a trade mark for ‘‘Videography“.
The Creative Industries laboratory acquired equipment while implementing the project supported by the EU ‘‘Creation and renewal of infrastructure of technology and information for the studies of creative and cultural industries, research work and artistic practise in Lithuania‘‘.
