We invite you to visit „White Signs“, an exhibition of sculptures and medals by Benas Narbutas, on display in the second-floor foyer of the VILNIUS TECH Library (Saulėtekio al. 14).
Benas Narbutas teaches visual expression to undergraduate students at the Vilnius Academy of Arts and actively participates in exhibitions both in Lithuania and abroad. He creates sculptures of various scales using stone, wood, chamotte clay, and white clay. His works combine minimalist forms with sacred content. In addition to sculpture, he creates ex libris artworks, medals, and reliefs. The artist draws inspiration from biblical texts, as well as from the cultural heritage of Judaism and Christianity.
In his white-clay works, simplified compositions distilled to their essential forms acquire symbolic meaning and a meditative character. Imagery inspired by biblical texts is transformed into universal signs of spiritual experience that resonate within the context of contemporary art.
