We invite you to rate scientific journals based on the 2020 Journal Citation reports

July 22, 2020

We invite you to familiarize yourself with the Web of Science Journal Citation Reports (JCR) indicators compiled from the 2019 Web of Science Core Collection data. This information can be useful in making publishing decisions, identifying, and evaluating the most important academic journals in the world.JCR indicators summarize a wealth of information on journal citation data, the immediacy index, and the journal citation index,  impact factor, and others.
Clarivate Analytics has updated the JCR metrics:
– The indicators include new descriptive data on open access models.  Based on this data, you will evaluate the articles in each journal according to the access model. Provides information on articles published openly under Creative Commons licenses (Golden Open Access). For hybrid journals, provides information on articles published using the traditional publishing model and under Creative Commons licenses (Open Access).
– Updated journal self-citation parameters. In order to maintain the high quality and transparency of the evaluation of reports and journals, the methodology and evaluation criteria have been updated.  Excludes journals that demonstrate anomalous citation behavior, including where there is evidence of excessive journal self-citation and citation stacking. Based on these rating updates, Clarivate Analytics suspended the evaluation of 33 journals, which accounted for 0.27 percent. of all indexed JCR publications.
