RECREATE program for students: a unique opportunity to find real business solutions, experiment, and receive mentorship
Do you want to create the future, not just read about it? We invite you to join the "Rethinking Energy: Combining Research, Economics, and Technology (RECREATE)" study program. During this program, you will work with a team to find solutions to real-world business challenges, experiment, and learn how to present and pitch your ideas.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience for students from both engineering and social science (business, sustainability, creative industries, etc.) fields. We encourage creators from ALL faculties to apply!

WHY JOIN?
Work on real business cases and challenges (green railways, EV mobility, smart stations, etc.) provided by our program partners: AB "Ignitis grupė" and AB "Lietuvos geležinkeliai".
Enhance your CV or portfolio with valuable experiences: analyses, concepts, prototypes, and pitch presentations.
Gain interdisciplinary competencies – learn to combine technology, economics, sustainability, policy, regulation, and design.
Experience MIT-inspired mentorship: Instead of traditional lectures, you will be mentored under the "Mens et Manus" (Mind and Hand) philosophy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mentors will guide you through feedback, integration, and co-creation.
Identify your strengths: By completing real-world tasks, you will gain a clearer understanding of your preferred path: analytics, engineering, product/project management, policy, UX/design, etc.
Build a strong network: Work with students from 7 different universities and interact with industry practitioners. These connections often lead to internships, thesis opportunities, or full-time jobs.
Participate in a hybrid study format and utilize MITx modules.
Earn 30 ECTS credits over the course of 3 semesters.
TOPICS AND AREAS (5 ECTS each)
The program, developed by 7 Lithuanian universities in collaboration with business partners AB "Ignitis grupė" and AB "Lietuvos geležinkeliai," will cover topics including energy system transformation, sustainable energy use, policy and regulation, renewable energy infrastructure design, embedded energy flow management systems, energy solutions for smart cities, and entrepreneurship.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
In September, a call for applications will be announced for 5 spots reserved specifically for VILNIUS TECH students. When applying, you will be required to submit a CV and a motivation letter, and selected candidates will be invited for an interview.
