VILNIUS TECH is one of Lithuania’s leading academic publishers, with a long-standing publishing tradition grounded in the principles and high standards of contemporary scholarly communication. The University is a member of Crossref, an international DOI registration agency, as well as the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP), the world’s largest professional association for scholarly and professional publishers, and the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA).
VILNIUS TECH publishes 16 peer-reviewed scholarly journals, eight of which cover the fields of physical and technological sciences. All journals are published under an open access model, providing free and unrestricted access to published research. As part of its publishing workflow, the University assigns Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to published articles, supporting their discoverability, reliable identification, and long-term accessibility online.
Recognising the evolving needs of modern scholarly communication, VILNIUS TECH is committed to ensuring the timely publication of articles following peer review and acceptance. The journals operate under a continuous publication model, whereby articles are published individually as soon as they are ready, without waiting for a complete issue to be assembled. VILNIUS TECH also supports the Initiative for Open Citations (I4OC), contributing to greater transparency and accessibility of scholarly citation data and fostering collaboration within the academic publishing community.
To support the long-term preservation and accessibility of published research, all articles are deposited in the Portico, CLOCKSS, and LOCKSS digital preservation services.
