On March 20, VILNIUS TECH hosted the "JoVE Open Days: Lunch & Learn Session" at the Plytinės building, aimed at students, researchers, and laboratory staff. The session was presented by Catalina Dragoi, who introduced the university’s subscription to JoVE, a platform offering a wide range of laboratory experiment videos across various scientific fields, including physics, natural sciences, medicine, engineering, statistics, environmental science, and more. In addition to the videos, the platform provides accompanying textual information and journal articles. The content is carefully curated by editors and experts, with all JoVE articles indexed in prominent databases such as PubMed, Medline, Web of Science, Scopus, and others.
Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and seek advice on how to incorporate these video resources into the development of online courses within the Moodle system. Those interested in enhancing their Moodle courses with specific JoVE videos can reach out to Catalina Dragoi at catalina.dragoi@jove.com, who will assist in creating a tailored list of relevant video content.
It is important to note that free access to VILNIUS TECH's subscription to the JoVE platform (www.jove.com) is available via the university’s network or through VPN.
