History

The Laboratory of Buildings, Constructions and Materials was established by decision of the Research Council of Vilnius Technical University (VTU) at its meeting on 24 June 1992.

1992-09-02

The laboratory was officially established as a research unit by Order No 382-k of the then Rector, Prof habil Dr Edmundas Kazimieras Zavadskas. The laboratory began its activities on this date.

2013-11-26

By Resolution No 5-5 of the Council of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, the Laboratory of Buildings, Constructions and Materials was renamed the Applied Laboratory of Buildings, Constructions and Materials and transferred to the structure of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
