Institute of Building and Bridge Structures

The Institute of Building and Bridge Structures conducts advanced research in reinforced concrete and soil mechanics, investigates long-term processes in concrete, mechanisms of concrete degradation, and the effects of high temperatures on the mechanical properties of structures. It also applies numerical modelling, develops material and soil models, and implements innovative geotechnical technologies.

The Institute of Building Materials includes two laboratories.

It is a dynamic research centre that develops advanced structural systems. The laboratory promotes the concept of environmentally optimised design based on structural solutions. This approach serves as an alternative to traditional methods, enables the integration of different engineering fields, and supports interdisciplinary innovation.
