Institute Services

Institute Laboratories

The Institute of Building Materials has three laboratories.

  • Laboratory of Composite Materials

The Laboratory conducts advanced research and experimental development of composite building materials. The focus is on environmentally sustainable materials, including aluminosilicate composites, binders with reduced Portland cement content, and artificial aggregates made from secondary raw materials.

  • Laboratory of Concrete Technologies

The Laboratory conducts fundamental and applied research on advanced materials, expanding their application possibilities and contributing to the development of sustainable construction. Researchers work in the fields of materials science and civil engineering, implement national and international projects, provide expert services, and disseminate research results.

  • Laboratory of Thermal Insulating Materials and Acoustics

The Laboratory specialises in advanced research and experimental development of building materials and conducts high-level testing in accredited and notified areas recognised by the European Union.

Partners

The Institute of Building Materials actively collaborates with social and industry partners.

Institute Staff

The Institute of Building Materials staff are experienced researchers and scientists in materials engineering.
