VILNIUS TECH Scientists – Members Of The Research Expansion Alliance
The Research Expansion Alliance publishes a list of scientists based on the Top 2% Scientists List—a global ranking of the most highly cited researchers, highlighting those who have the greatest impact on the advancement of science. Among them are five VILNIUS TECH scientists. This recognition confirms the quality of the university’s research, its international standing, and its significant contribution to addressing pressing contemporary global challenges.
The Top 2% Scientists List is compiled as part of a joint project between Elsevier’s Scopus database and Stanford University. It evaluates scientific output across 22 major fields and 174 subfields, using composite citation indicators such as total citations, co-authorship patterns, and H-index values. The methodology is widely regarded as one of the most comprehensive and reliable approaches to assessing long-term scientific impact. In 2025, eight VILNIUS TECH researchers were included in the list of the world's most cited scientists.
