The Seafarers’ Training Centre is a place where both students and professionals can develop their knowledge and skills. The training centre offers:

STCW Courses for Seafarers

The training programmes are developed in accordance with the requirements of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), the International Maritime Organization (IMO) model courses, and European Union (EU) directives.

Monday

Personal survival techniques, fire prevention and firefighting, elementary first aid, personal safety and social responsibilities (STCW A-VI/1, 1–4). Registration at 08:00, training starts at 08:30.
Wednesday

Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats (other than fast rescue boats) (STCW A-VI/2-1). Registration at 08:00, training starts at 08:30.
Thursday

Advanced firefighting (STCW A-VI/3). Registration at 12:45, training starts at 13:00.

Important: When registering for refresher courses, it is mandatory to provide the original course completion certificate.

may use the LMA library and computers;
may obtain a permit for free parking in the LMA inner courtyard;
may stay in the LMA dormitory during the course period (Karklų St. 2/8, Klaipėda);
are provided with hot drinks during breaks;
may use the LMA café “KAJUTKOMPANIJA” from 09:00 to 15:00, from September to June.
