Dear first-year students of VILNIUS TECH,
congratulations on starting one of your life's most exciting and meaningful journeys - studies at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University!
This year, we have invited everyone to study and join our university under the motto “Choose courage to change the world!” Courage is your choice to create and bring value for society, and the whole world - you are creating the future today.
Students from 67 countries comprise more than a fifth of our university’s community this year. So, be open to exchange as the diversity of all our perspectives, thinking, and opportunities fuels innovation, uniqueness, and memorable, meaningful, enjoyable university experiences. Have an exciting and meaningful study journey, and welcome new opportunities!
With special support and admiration, I welcome almost one and a half hundred students and scholars from Ukraine! Ukraine and Lithuania are well aware of the importance and pricelessness of freedom and determination to defend it by all means as it is in our blood. We are very proud of your strength, unity, and civility. We are and we will fully support you till the victory comes! And you, our dear, fellow Ukrainians, focus on your studies and take into the learning as we will make sure when you graduate from our university, you will be fully prepared for the reconstruction of your country. Mark my words that everyone who graduates in engineering will be worth their weight in gold. Slava Ukraini!
And I happily invite you to the VILNIUS TECH CREATORS’ FEST, the traditional opening of the new academic year. Please do have so much fun you will still have something to remember even years after!
