VGTU Rector invites to pay tribute to the victims of the 13th of January
Dear community members,
In our memory, the 13th of January is a day of unity and solidarity, when the Lithuanian nation, leaving behind all internal contradictions, has united in defending its freedom, when faced with violence. Our nation has proved to the whole world that courage and unity of the unarmed people can overcame even the biggest aggression.
Mindful of the events of the 13th of January, let us pay the due respect to the people who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Their sacrifice obligates us to seek justice in every moment of our lives – and always do it with courage and dignity.
Let us unite in devoting all our work and efforts for Lithuania and Lithuania‘s future – our unity is the most important for the freedom of Lithuania. Our nation has been constantly defending the unity and freedom in the course of its painful history. As a small nation and a small state, we must always defend our freedom. I sincerely wish to all of us to remember it and treasure the feeling of FREEDOM and UNITY.
Sincerely,
Rector Alfonsas Daniūnas
