INFOBALT Association of the Lithuanian Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry awarded encouragement scholarships established in cooperation with IT businesses to two young scientists of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) at the end of last February.
The scholarships were awarded to Senior Engineer of the Laboratory of Thermal Insulation of VGTU Giedrius Balčiūnas for his work “Multifunctional Composite of Hemp Hurds and Sapropel Binding Agent“ and Senior Engineer of the same laboratory Jurga Šeputytė-Jucikė for her work "Research into Mechanical Qualities of the Composite of Porous Inclusions (Foam Glass Granules, Crushed Expanded Polystyrene Package) Connected by Porous Cement Matrix“.
The young scientists were awarded scholarships in the amount of 200 euros each.
