This application system is intended non-EU applicants. What is the purpose of this study programme?
The program aims to prepare professionals with advanced knowledge and skills in both biotechnology and materials science. It seeks to combine the design and problem-solving skills of engineering with those of biomedical sciences. Graduates are expected to be capable of applying their acquired knowledge to solve practical problems in biomedically oriented scientific research.

What will students learn?
• Students will acquire fundamental knowledge and skills in gene, cell, and tissue engineering, nanomaterials, nanomedicine, diagnostic nanobiotechnology, nanobioelectronics and microcapsulation of the biocomponents.
• Students will be acquainted with the organization and planning of research and dissemination of results both in academic and industrial environments.
• Students will be able to carry out the individual research projects, analyze and present the obtained results.

Exchange Period Abroad?
Erasmus+ network allows students to spend one or two semesters for studies or preparation of Master Thesis in Sweden, France, Poland, Austria, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and many other countries. VILNIUS TECH is also a member of NORDTEK – a network that comprises numerous technical Universities in Nordic and Baltic countries and also provides the scholarships for student exchange of member institutions.

What about career opportunities after Master's degree studies?
Person with Master degree in Nanobiotechnology can work in the companies producing the pharmaceutical and molecular biology products, also the industry dealing with the tissue engineering and cell therapy both in Lithuania and abroad. In addition, graduates are able to work at governmental organizations as well as the research institutes and Universities or continue studies at the doctoral programmes in biotechnology, bioengineering or related disciplines of the Life Sciences.
