No need to take 1 when you can get 2! Choose the Dual Degree „Multimedia Design“ program at VILNIUS TECH and complete one year of studies in UK at Goldsmiths University of London! From autumn 2025, students who are interested in applying multimedia technologies within the contemporary arts are invited to consider a double diploma option, which will be implemented in a 2+1+1 model. It means, that students will complete their first two years in Lithuania studying in the full-time „Multimedia Design“ programme at VILNIUS TECH, then for one year they will go to the UK to study with colleagues from Goldsmiths' Digital Arts Computing programme, and finally return to VILNIUS TECH to complete their fourth year of study in Vilnius. (Whether you started your studies in Lithuania with a state-funded or unfunded place, a year at Goldsmiths, University of London costs 15,000 GBP).
What are the outcomes of this study programme?
Multimedia refers to the integration of hardware and software tools for distributing information through various mediums such as text, audio, two-dimensional and three-dimensional images, animation, and video footage. These elements collectively facilitate interactive communication between the computer and the user. Vision and hearing serve as the primary senses during interactions with the surrounding environment. The synthesis of visual and audio elements enhances information absorption and is instrumental in the advancement of multimedia technologies. The widespread adoption of multimedia technology across business, education, media, medicine, virtual communication, and entertainment can be attributed, in part, to its effectiveness in information absorption.
The objective of the study program is to equip information technology specialists with ample knowledge in the design and development of multimedia technologies. This includes the integration of multimedia, information technology, computer design, and the transmission of digital information, fostering a comprehensive skill set in these areas.
