VILNIUS TECH Faculty of Architecture is organising an international conference "IMPERFECT MODERNISM" on 9-10 May 2024, dedicated to the issues of the 20th century architecture, its value identification and preservation.
The conference examines modernist architecture as a multi-layered cultural, artistic, social and technological phenomenon.The conference will bring together scholars, architects and heritage preservationists from Eritrea, Poland, Lebanon, Lithuania, Israel, Georgia, Kosovo, Cyprus, Canada, Portugal and Germany. Special attention is paid to Ukrainian modernism and the problems of its preservation, especially in the context of war - one third of the speakers are scholars from different universities in Ukraine.
