Diploma and Diploma Supplement

Upon successful completion of their study programme, every graduate of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University is awarded Bachelors, Masters or PhD diploma accordingly.
From 1 January 2006 all of our graduates in Bachelor and Master study programmes have automatically received (at no cost) a Diploma Supplement (DS), which follows the model developed by the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES.
The supplement is intended to improve international ‘transparency’ and to facilitate the academic and professional recognition of qualifications. As a record of achievement it includes information on the study programme(s) completed at VILNIUS TECH (incl. ECTS credits), information on the courses completed abroad, the evaluation results of bachelor’s or master’s thesis, and final state examinations. 
The Diploma Supplement also provides a brief description of the Lithuanian higher education system, is published in two languages (Lithuanian and English), and certified and signed by the Rector of the University.
