– Geotechnical testing of soils in triaxial test apparatus and probabilistic assessment of results;
– Analysis of deformation of heavy buildings on spread foundation and ways of improving the design of this type of foundations;
– Regional engineering geology, engineering geological classification of map phenomena in districts;
– Analysis of international and European standards in geotechnics and development of analogous Lithuanian standards;
– Development of pile foundation technologies with maximum use of geological conditions;
– Identification of soil profiles and determination of soil properties by drilling and sampling, cone penetration tests CPT and dynamic penetration tests DPT;
– Modeling of soil mechanical properties via discrete element method (DEM);

– Nuclear power plants threat joints resistance investigation for low- and high- cycle  fatigue. As an example it can be marked the fatigue tests of nuclear power plant reactor cover bolts in diameter of 170 mm. Under these investigations      there were improved the computational methods for nuclear power plants and the other like purposes equipment.
– Experimental and analytical investigations of shakedown at various fracturing stages. Joints relaxation analysis and prediction.
– Investigation of plates of welded cast iron and cast iron with inclusions for high-cycle fatigue (up to 108 cycles).
– Investigations of fatigue crack formation and propagation of mineral mining facilities structural elements containing technological defects.
– Investigations of layered materials used in transportation and mineral mining industries.
– Investigations of austempered ductile iron.
