Information for students who want to apply for the Erasmus+ studies
In the frames of the Erasmus+ programme all VILNIUS TECH students may have study exchange in one of VILNIUS TECH partner institutions of higher education in one of the programme countries.
Selection for the Erasmus+ studies is held two times a year:
• in February–March for next academic year autumn or spring semester optionally.
• in September–October for exchange in the current academic year spring semester;
The same student may participate in mobility periods totaling up to 12 months per cycle of study (bachelor, master, and PhD studies). The minimum duration of the Erasmus+ studies is 1 semester (3-6 months).
IMPORTANT if you want to apply for "Erasmus+"
1. Each faculty of VILNIUS TECH has its own partner list. You can choose up to 3 partner institutions;
2. Before you fill the application you must find out the offered courses (and credits) at partner`s home website and have a consultation with your Faculty Erasmus+ Coordinator about the suitability of courses to your study programme;
3. When the courses at the receiving institution are discussed with your Faculty Erasmus+ coordinator;
4. Bachelor and Master students who apply for EU countries have to fill and submit the online application in Mobility Online (Instruction);

BEFORE MOBILITY
Students who have been selected for the Erasmus+ studies must:

• Take an OLS language test (online);
• send filled and signed Learning Agreement* (Double-degree students must fill this Learning Agreement form);

• Fill the Request to continue studies abroad in mano.vilniustech.lt platform;
• Get insurance (travel, health, accidents);
• Sign Financial Agreement.
DURING MOBILITY
If there is a need, you will be able to change the courses in the first 30 days of your Erasmus+ studies.
Change your learning agreement by filling in CHANGES TO THE ORIGINAL LEARNING AGREEMENT. This can be done only after you have achieved permission of your faculty Erasmus+ coordinator to change the Learning Agreement. After everything is done, the final version of Learning Agreement changes must be sent to crypt:PGEgaHJlZj0ibWFpbHRvOm91dGdvaW5nQHZndHUubHQiPm91dGdvaW5nQHY8L2E+:xxcrypt:PGEgaHJlZj0ibWFpbHRvOm91dGdvaW5nQHZpbG5pdXN0ZWNoLmx0Ij5pbG5pdXN0ZWNoLmx0PC9hPg==:xx as well.
If you would like to extend your study period in receiving organization for one more semester, you have to do this not later than 1 month before the end of your first study semester abroad.
It is possible to apply for the extension only for the spring semester.
AFTER MOBILITY
There are 4 main steps/documents you will have to provide for the International Relation Office after the official end of your Erasmus+ studies:
• The hard copy of the Certificate;
• The copy of the Transcript of Records;
• European Commission's survey (online, sent to your e-mail on the last day of your studies exchange).
• Fill Short-term study report and send it signed to crypt:PGEgaHJlZj0ibWFpbHRvOm91dGdvaW5nQHZpbG5pdXN0ZWNoLmx0Ij5vdXRnb2luZ0B2aWxuaXVzdGVjaC5sdDwvYT4=:xx with your chosen type of report.
• Do not forget to fill the request to continue studies at VILNIUS TECH once you return from mobility. You can do that by using mano.vilniustech platform (My documents/ Requests/ Applications for Rector/ for permission to continue studies after returning from another institution).
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT
After you fill all the necessary documents you will receive an Erasmus+ grant as a contribution to your subsistence costs.

Students, who signed the Financial Agreement, are receiving the scholarship in two stages:
80% of the scholarship is being transferred before the Erasmus+ studies start;
20% of the scholarship is being transferred after return when the student fulfills all the required documents
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR GREEN TRAVEL
Students and recent graduates who do not receive a travel grant can choose green travel. In this case, they will receive a one-off payment of 50 EUR as additional individual support for round-trip travel costs for up to 4 days. A green travel is defined as a trip where the majority of the journey is made by sustainable means of transport (bus, train or car-pooling).
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS WITH FEWER OPPORTUNITIES
Students with fewer opportunities are able to receive an additional top-up of 250 Eur/month.

Erasmus+ internship is a traineeship (work placement, internship) abroad in any organisation of the Erasmus+ programme country.„ERASMUS+" TRAINEESHIP CAN BE:

Compulsory (which is embedded in the curriculum);

Voluntary (undertaken on your own initiative);

Traineeship after graduation.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
- Traineeship period is 2 months or more;
- Erasmus+ studies and (or) traineeship should last no loger than 12 months per one study cycle;
- You should apply at least 30 days before the start of your traineeship;
- Applications are acceptable throughout the year;
- For the traineeship after graduation you should apply while you're still registered as a student at VILNIUS TECH.
- You are a degree seeking VILNIUS TECH student;
- You (will) have a positive evaluation of exams when leaving for an internship;
- You have financial capacities to carry out an internship abroad;
- You desire international work experience!
There may be exceptions at the faculty level, please ask your Erasmus+ Faculty coordinator.

3. Just before your internship
When you are nominated for the Erasmus+ scholarship, you will also have to:
• Get insurance (health, accidents, liability);
• Submit the request to carry out an internship in an organisation abroad at mano.vilniustech.lt (Bachelor and Master students); PhD students must submit the request for internship directly to the Doctoral School;
• Sign a financial agreement. Draft version will be sent via e-mail.
DURING INTERNSHIP
When carrying out an internship you have certain obligations but it does not mean they cannot be changed. Changes are possible with proper documentation. AFTER INTERNSHIP
Congratulations on finishing your internship! We hope you thanked the hosting company for their efforts to teach you.
When back home you will have to deliver (templates mano.vilniustech.lt -> International opportunities -> Erasmus+ internship):
• traineeship certificate (2 originals);
• final report with experience essay or Instagram takeover;
• European Commission's survey (online, it will be sent to your e-mail on the last day of your internship);
• request via mano.vilniustech.lt to resume studies at VILNIUS TECH;
• take care of approving your internship at VILNIUS TECH.

Students with less opportunities can get an additional funding, but each case is considered individually by the coordinator of international study programmes.
INTERNSHIP AFTER GRADUATION
If you would like to go on an internship after graduation you must apply for a reserve list before graduation! Please note that only those graduates who apply for Reserve list while being students (before graduation) are entitled to apply for the Erasmus+ internship abroad after graduation!
The duration of the internship of graduates is included in the maximum period of 12 months at the level of study in which the internship application is submitted.
To apply for the Reserve list:
1. Fill an online form;
2. Download the application form, fill it with a computer, sign, and scan;
3. Add your CV and motivation letter for the company (in English);

The exact time and place of the interview are going to be sent to you by e-mail. The special Committee will hold the interview. JUST BEFORE YOUR INTERNSHIP

• Get insurance (health, accidents, liability);
• Fill the Request to carry out an internship in an organization abroad in mano.vilniustech.lt platform;
• Request the PHD department to go abroad (PhD students only);

Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes
Be an Erasmus+ student more than once!
The virtual part will allow the participation in teaching/training of experts from all partners. The physical short-term mobility will allow the face-to-face cooperation of teachers and participants.
VILNIUS TECH offers BIP to support an important enlargement and flexibility of Erasmus+ mobility. BIP enlarge the mobility dimension by receiving participants that stay at home institution (except during the short-term physical mobility at VILNIUS TECH) and allow the participation of VILNIUS TECH students (internationalisation at home).
Students can maintain their study plan at home institution and include the BIP training as parallel activity. The short-term physical mobility will constitute the only period outside their home institution. Students will credit the BIP at their study plans.

BEFORE BIP you have to submit the following documents:
- Learning agreement (LA). The LA must be signed by you, the exchange institution and your faculty coordinator. - Fill the request to continue studies abroad in mano.vilniustech.lt platform. In the request, you must indicate where you are going and on which days the mobility will take place;
- Fill out and sign a financial agreement, according to which a scholarship will be paid for days of physical mobility. We will send the financial agreement after receiving your LA .
AFTER BIP you have to submit the following documents:
- Certificate of Attendance;
- Transcript of Records.

National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), a partner university of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH), invites students to participate in part-time study exchanges or to go to study full-degree studies. Students are invited to apply for the following scholarship programs:
STAR program
The “Taiwan-Lithuania Semiconductor Talent and Research Scholarship Program” is provided by Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in cooperation with NSYSU.
Application deadline
• 15 January – 15 March, 2023 (for autumn semester).
• 2023 m. 1 August – 30 September, 2023 (for spring semester).

Taiwan-Europe Connectivity Scholarship
Students of all levels can apply for exchange at NSYSU University from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, Netherlands, France, Portugal, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, U.K. Foreign students of all levels can participate, except for citizens of China and Taiwan.
Students must take a Mandarin Chinese course (4 hours per week, 3 credits).

Taiwan Semiconductor Scholarship Program
The program is intended for students from Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia. Scholarships are awarded to students entering full-time degree studies (Masters and PhD) in semiconductor research.

Erasmus+ studies in non-EU
VILNIUS TECH students with high academic achievements in the I-II cycle (not lower than the 2nd year of the cycle I) can apply for a scholarship (800 EUR/month)* for one-semester partial studies (at least 3 and no longer than 5 months) outside the European Union countries (Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia).

The scholarship partially covers travel, insurance, and visa costs, so it’s recommended to have an additional source of funding to cover living expenses in a foreign country. Priority right to receive a scholarship is given to students who apply to study at a university outside the EU (from the list of priority universities) with which VILNIUS TECH has signed an agreement and who meet the criteria listed below:
• the highest weighted average of session results - at least 8;
• high weighted results in the previous stage of studies;
• motivation;
• foreign language knowledge;
• no arrears from previous semesters;
• there are no violations of Vilnius Tech's academic order.

V International Science and Technology week in Zaragoza
The Faculty of Science and the School of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Zaragoza are organizing the V International Science and Technology Week (ISTWZ). It is a free program of activities aimed at inviting foreign science and technology students and exchange coordinators to get acquainted with the Faculty of Science and the School of Engineering and Architecture, as well as the university and the city of Zaragoza. The V ISTWZ will be held at the University of Zaragoza, from 3rd to 7th, July 2023. Events include technical presentations, visits to labs and research institutes, meetings with researchers, other science and technology related activities, cultural activities, tours of the city and an excursion to the Pyrenees. Registration and participation is free, and it includes accommodation for students, lunch and all activities related to the event. This will be the fifth edition of ISTWZ, after the great success of the 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022 editions.

Student participants must be between 18 and 25 years old and should be enrolled in a BSc or MSc related to Natural Sciences (including Geology, Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Optics), Mathematics, Engineering or Architecture, at any university having an exchange agreement with the University of Zaragoza in any field.
