The delegation of POSTECH visits VILNIUS TECH – the cooperation is confirmed by signing the MoU
This week a delegation from Pohang University of Science & Technology - POSTECH, one of the strongest and leading technological universities in South Korea and the world, paid a return visit to Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH).
"One of the main goals of our universities is to strengthen cooperation in the field of science. We have committed ourselves to this goal by signing an academic cooperation agreement (MoU) with Dr. Seong Keun Kim, President of POSTECH, and we have also agreed to fund joint research projects in the fields of transport engineering, artificial intelligence, and sustainability technologies," said Romualdas Kliukas, Rector of VILNIUS TECH.
The guests visited the VILNIUS TECH Sustainability HUB, the Creativity and Innovation Centre "LinkMenų fabrikas", the campus at Plytinės St. and its Laboratories of Medical and Rehabilitation equipment, Transport Engineering and Logistics.
VILNIUS TECH was visited by Dr. Seong Keun Kim, President of POSTECH, Prof. Sungmin Park, Vice President for Foreign Affairs, Prof. Taiha Joo, Director of the Centre for Quantum Dynamics, Prof. Junki Ahn, Director of Foreign Relations, and Ms. Yujin Kim, Assistant to the Director of Foreign Relations.
The guests welcomed by VILNIUS TECH team: Prof. Dr. Romualdas Kliukas, Rector, Prof. Dr. Dalius Navakauskas, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Erika Danienė, Vice Director of the International Relations Office, Jelena Kabulova, Vice Director of Science and Research Office, Simonas Barsteiga, Director of Smart and Climate-Neutral Production Processes, Vitalijus Gurčinas, Director of Digital Defense Competence Centre.
Special thanks to the Embassy of Lithuania in South Korea for mediation and help in organizing the visits.
